Thanos, as portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film Avengers: Endgame, is a powerful Titanian warlord driven by the conviction that the universe is threatened by overpopulation.
In Avengers: Endgame, he is the primary antagonist, having successfully collected all six Infinity Stones in the previous film (Avengers: Infinity War) and used them to erase half of all life in the universe.
